Find your way around
The same controls sit around every screen in Raion Hub. On a computer that is the sidebar down the left and the top bar above it; on a phone, a floating bar along the bottom and the same top bar. Five minutes here saves you hunting later.
Signing in drops you on your Leads list, so that is the screen this page describes.
Before you start — you need to be signed in and a member of a workspace. The chrome this page describes — the sidebar, the top bar, the theme toggle, your account menu and the ? menu — is there for every member, whatever your role.
The sidebar
On a computer, the sidebar runs down the left of every screen. Top to bottom:
- The logo band. Your workspace’s logo, or Raion Hub’s.
- Your workspace and team. The switcher — see below.
- Dashboard.
- Database, holding Leads and any other database you have built.
- Messaging, holding Conversations, Campaigns, Templates, AI Chatbot and Follow-ups.
- Automation, holding Assignment and Integrations.
- Settings, pinned in its own band near the bottom.
- Your account row — your photo, your name and your email, with a chevron.
- Powered by Raion Tech.
The groups are fixed. What sits inside Database is yours.
Your first database may not be called Leads. The row shows whatever name your workspace gave it, with its own icon. Wherever this guide says Leads, read it as “your first database”.
Two controls that only appear when you hover
On a mouse, both of these are invisible until you point at the row. On a touch screen they are always there.
| Point at | What appears | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| The Database group header | A small +, for Add database | Adds a database — see Add a database. The create form opens over the page you are on — you do not leave it. |
| Any database row | A sliders icon at the right end | Opens that database’s configuration, where you change its fields, sections and stages. Its tooltip reads Configure name fields. |
A small blue dot on a row
A blue dot on a row’s icon means there is something new to read about that screen. Visiting the screen does not clear it — reading the update does, either by dismissing its help card or opening its alert. Once you have, the dot clears on your other devices too.
Collapse the sidebar
The sidebar narrows to a strip of icons when you want the room back. There are three ways:
- Click the logo band. The whole band is the toggle.
- Click the round chevron on the sidebar’s right edge, level with the logo.
- Press ⌘ B (Ctrl B on Windows and Linux).
Collapsed, every row keeps its icon and gains a tooltip. Hover the strip to peek at the labels.
While it is collapsed, hovering the strip expands it temporarily so you can read the labels, then lets it fall back. Hovering the chevron itself does not — that would slide the button out from under your cursor.
⌘ B does nothing while your cursor is in a text box. The shortcut is ignored whenever you are typing, so that writing bold text in a message template keeps working. Click somewhere outside the field, or press Tab to leave it, then try again.
Two more things worth knowing:
- The sidebar sometimes collapses on its own — when you open a panel that needs the width. It comes back when you close that panel, and your own choice underneath is untouched.
- On a touch tablet it starts collapsed, and when you expand it, it floats over the page behind a dim layer you can tap to close, rather than pushing the page across.
Switch workspace or team
The control at the top of the sidebar shows your workspace’s chip, its name, and — only if this workspace has more than one team — the team you are looking at, or All teams. A workspace with a single team shows one line, not two.
Each workspace is a block with its headcount. Clicking a team switches workspace and team in one go.
- Click the workspace name. A panel opens — below the control when the sidebar is expanded, out to the side when it is collapsed.
- The header reads Switch workspace & team, or Switch workspace when none of your workspaces has more than one team.
- Your current workspace is the first block, faintly tinted. Each block shows the workspace’s name and how many people are in it.
- A workspace with several teams also lists them, each with its own headcount, under an All teams row. The small − and + beside the name hide and show that list.
- Click the workspace name to open it with All teams selected, or click a team to switch workspace and team together.
Switching keeps you on the same screen. If you were on Campaigns, you land on Campaigns in the new workspace — you are not sent home. The address bar changes, and the old workspace’s data is cleared before the new screen paints, so you never see one workspace’s numbers under another’s name.
Your account menu
Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar. On a phone, tap your photo at the top right instead, and the same rows rise from the bottom of the screen.
| Row | What it does |
|---|---|
| Profile & preferences | Opens Settings on your profile. |
| Subscription | Opens Settings on your subscription. |
| Switch to legacy | Opens the previous version of the Hub. See Coming from the previous version. |
| Logout | Ends your session. |
Ignore the plan chip beside Subscription. It currently reads Core for everyone, whatever you are actually paying for. Open Subscription to see your real plan.
Logout ends the session properly. Raion Hub tells the server to close your session first, then reloads to the sign-in screen — so signing out really signs you out, not only in that browser. If your connection is down it waits a few seconds and signs you out locally anyway.
There is no theme switch in this menu. It is in three other places.
The top bar
The page’s title sits on the left. On a database screen it shows that database’s own name. On the right, from left to right:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| A create button | Whatever this screen creates. On Leads it reads Add Lead; on a database called Customers, Add Customer. On Dashboard it reads Add Metric. Other screens have their own — New Campaign, New Conversation, New Template, New Sequence, New Rule, Add Website. |
| ? | Help and support. See below. |
| A sun or moon | Switches between light and dark. Not on phones. |
| A bell | Your alerts, with a count of the unread ones. |
| Your photo | Your account menu — on phones only. On a computer it is in the sidebar. |
If there is no create button on your Leads screen, your role does not include creating contacts in that database. Controls you do not have permission for are not shown at all rather than greyed out, so an empty slot is a permission, not a fault. Ask a workspace owner.
The Help menu
The ? opens:
- Setup wizard — reopens the setup checklist, with your progress under it. Always there, even once you are done.
- Documentation — this guide.
- Keyboard shortcuts — the same list you get by pressing ? anywhere. See Keyboard shortcuts.
- Contact support — opens a WhatsApp chat with us, not an email.
- Install your workspace’s app name — adds Raion Hub to your device as an app. On an iPhone or iPad this reads Add to Home Screen and shows you how, because iOS will not let an app install itself. Once installed the row reads Installed, and if there is nothing to install it is not there at all. See Install Raion Hub for the walk-through.
The amber dot on the ? clears only once every checklist row is ticked. It is not a warning about anything — it is the setup checklist counting the rows you have not ticked yet.
Light or dark
There are two modes, Light and Dark. There is no option to follow your system.
| Where | Control |
|---|---|
| The top bar, on a computer or tablet | The sun or moon icon |
| A phone | The sun or moon at the top right of the Menu sheet |
| Anywhere | Settings → Profile → the Theme row, a Light | Dark pair |
Your choice is remembered per browser and per device. Set dark on your laptop and your phone still opens light until you set it there too. Other tabs of Raion Hub in the same browser change with you. In a private window, or with site data blocked, the mode still switches but is forgotten when you close it.
On a phone
There is no sidebar. A floating pill sits above the bottom of the screen with four buttons:
- Dashboard.
- Your database — labelled with whichever one you looked at last, with a small chevron. Press and hold it, then slide, to jump to another database.
- Alerts.
- Menu — everything else.
Menu holds the whole sidebar: the theme toggle, the workspace switcher, and every screen as a tile
Menu rises from the bottom and holds, in order: your workspace logo with the theme toggle beside it, the workspace and team switcher, a tile for every screen, and a More group with Settings, Documentation and — while your setup checklist is unfinished — Finish setup with your count beside it.
The bottom pill does not appear when you turn your phone sideways.
If something looks wrong
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Clicking the logo collapsed the sidebar instead of going home | The logo band is the collapse button | Click it again, or press ⌘ B / Ctrl B. Use Dashboard to go home |
| ⌘ B does nothing | Your cursor is in a text box, or you are holding Shift or Alt as well | Click outside the field, or press Tab to leave it, then try again |
| The sidebar collapsed by itself | A panel that needs the width opened | Close the panel. Your own setting was not changed |
| No + on the Database header, no gear on a database row | They only appear when you hover, on a mouse | Point at the header or the row. On a touch screen they are always visible |
| No team line in the switcher | This workspace has one team | Nothing is missing. The second line appears once there are two |
| The plan beside Subscription looks wrong | That chip always reads Core | Open Subscription for your real plan |
| A control this page describes is not there | Your role does not include it, so it is not drawn at all | Ask a workspace owner to grant it |
| Your dark mode did not follow you to another device | The theme is saved per browser, per device | Set it again there |
