Set up the row action buttons
Row actions are the buttons welded to the right-hand edge of every row — WhatsApp, Call, Assign and the rest. There is one ordered list for the whole workspace, so putting the two your team actually uses at the front is one of the highest-value five minutes you can spend in Raion Hub.
Before you start
- You can open Database Configuration
- You have the Table Settings permission. Without it the Actions row is not on screen at all
- Know which two or three actions your team reaches for every day. Order is the only control you have over what shows up first
Steps
Find the Actions row
Open Database Configuration and click a database’s chip along the top. Scroll to the end of the Pinned in Leads group: under a hairline captioned Row rail sits a single row labelled Actions, with a lock where a drag grip would be and a count of how many actions are configured.
Click it.
The Row rail caption is there to stop a common mix-up: pinned fields freeze on the LEFT of the table, while the actions rail is welded to the RIGHT edge
You can also get here in one click from the table: the Actions column header has a gear labelled Configure row actions.
Put the actions in the order your team works in
The Actions list opens in the right pane. Each action is a row: a drag grip, its label, and its glyph in its colour on the right. Drag a grip to move it.
This order is the only order. Whatever sits at the top is what a row shows first
Add a button of your own
Click the dashed Add action button. A new action appears at the very end of the list, below Delete, labelled New action with a lightning glyph and the neutral colour. Its editor opens straight away.
Drag it to where you want it once you have set it up.
Give it an icon, a colour and a label
Clicking any action’s row expands its editor inline underneath it — the back chevron reads Collapse action while it is open.
Only your own actions have a Label box and a Remove action button — the built-ins show their labels as plain text
- Icon — a button showing the current glyph in the action’s colour. Click it to open the icon picker.
- Color — five round swatches: Neutral, Info, Success, Warning, Danger.
- Label — what the button says. Custom actions only.
- Remove action — deletes it. Custom actions only.
Pick the icon
Click the Icon button at the top of the editor. A popover opens with a Search icons box, placeholder Search icons — try ‘phone’, ‘star’…, over a grid. Hover any icon to see its name.
Before you type, the footer tells you it is showing 120 icons out of the full set and invites you to type to search all of them. Search and it counts the matches for you, adding — refine to narrow only when there were more than it could show. A search that matches nothing says No icons match followed by what you typed.
Search by what the icon shows, not by what you want the button to do — 'phone', 'calendar', 'star'
Save
Click Save changes. A toast reads Database config saved, and the rail on every row picks up the new order.
The buttons Raion Hub ships with
Ten actions come configured, in this order:
- Call
- Conversation
- Request phone number
- Send WhatsApp
- Outbound
- Assign
- Archive
- Delete
That order is what a brand-new workspace starts with, and what you are rearranging.
Three of them behave in a way worth knowing about:
- Request phone number is the only built-in that hides rather than greying out. On a contact who already has a phone number it simply is not there.
- Outbound is a per-contact on/off state rather than a fire-and-forget button. It appears in this list so you can order and recolour it like the others.
- Delete always stays last, wherever you drag it.
You cannot rename a built-in — its editor shows the label as plain text — and there is no Remove action button on one. What you can change is its position, its icon and its colour.
Archive and Delete are coloured by what they mean rather than by a stored colour: amber for Archive because it is reversible, red for Delete because it is not. Everything else is neutral. Pick a colour yourself and it overrides the one Raion Hub chose.
How many buttons a row shows
The rail fits as many as the width allows and folds the rest into an overflow menu. There is no setting for this — the card works it out for itself from the space it has, and the editor carries a note suggesting otherwise. Do not go hunting for that control; it is not there.
What this means in practice: order is the only lever you have. The actions at the top of this list are the ones that stay visible on a narrow window and on a phone. Put your two most-used first.
The same list feeds the rail in the table and the buttons on the record card, so a change here shows up in both, on every database.
If something goes wrong
| What happens | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| There is no Actions row under the Pinned group | You do not have the Table Settings permission, and the row is hidden rather than disabled | Ask a Workspace Owner for it in Settings → Roles |
| The Label box is missing from an action’s editor | It is a built-in. Their labels are fixed | Change its icon, its colour or its position instead |
| There is no Remove action button | Same reason — built-ins cannot be removed | Drag it to the bottom of the list if you want it out of the way |
| A new action landed below Delete | New actions are always appended to the end | Drag it to where you want it |
| Delete will not stay where you dragged it | Delete is kept last on purpose | Expected |
| Request phone number is missing from some rows | It is the one built-in that hides itself when it does not apply — that contact already has a phone number | Nothing to fix |
| A button you put first is still in the overflow menu on a narrow window | The rail fits what it can and folds the rest away | Widen the window, or move the action further up the list |
| You are looking for a setting for how many buttons show inline | There is no such control, despite the note in the editor | Reorder the list instead |
| The list says No actions yet — add one below. | Nothing is configured yet. Built-ins have no remove button, so this is not something you can cause | Click Add action, or close and reopen the screen |
| A reordered list snapped back | Order saves with Save changes like everything else | Press Save changes before you close |
