Build a conversion funnel

A Conversion funnel tile counts how many of your contacts reached each stage of one of your dropdown fields — usually Status — and what share of them made it from one stage to the next. This page sets one up, puts the stages in the right order, and then does the same for the Member leaderboard, which is where you tell Raion Hub which statuses count as won. About 10 minutes.

Before you start

  • You need at least one dropdown-style field on your database, usually Status. Without one, Conversion funnel is not even offered under Ready tiles.
  • Only the workspace owner can save the funnel for everyone. Anyone can add and configure one on their own screen.
  • This is not the Delivery funnel. Conversion funnel is your contacts moving through your stages. Delivery funnel is WhatsApp campaign messages moving from sent to replied, and needs a connected WhatsApp number.

Steps

Add the tile

Press Add Metric in the top bar, then under Ready tiles choose Conversion funnel — Stage-by-stage conversion — and press Add to board. On a phone the same button is in the band at the top of the screen and reads Add metric.

It lands at the end of the grid, three columns wide and three rows tall. There is nothing to configure in the dialog; the funnel is configured on the tile itself.

Choose which field the stages come from

Look at the top-right corner of the tile itself. If your workspace has more than one dropdown-style field, there is a Field dropdown there — pick the one whose options are your stages.

With exactly one such field there is no dropdown, because there is nothing to choose. Raion Hub starts with the field actually named Status if you have one, and otherwise with your first dropdown field.

Switching fields is safe: your stage choices are remembered per field, so switching back restores the stages you had.

Choose the stages and put them in order

Next to it is a Columns dropdown. Despite the name, this is the stage picker.

Animation

Ticked stages sit above the line in funnel order; drag a grip to move one.

  • Ticked stages sit at the top, in the order the funnel draws them. Drag the grip at the left of a row to move a stage up or down.
  • Unticked stages sit below the separator. Click one to add it.
  • Re-ticking a stage puts it at the bottom of the funnel, not back where it was. If you untick and re-tick by accident, drag it back into place.

A funnel starts with every option of the chosen field ticked, in the field’s own order, so most of the time your only job here is to untick the ones that are not really stages — a “Lost” or a “Duplicate”.

Read it

Each stage is one row: the stage name on the left, a bar with the count printed inside it, and a percentage on the right.

The percentage is against the stage directly above, not against the top of the funnel.

  • The percentage is a step rate. It is this stage divided by the stage directly above it. A 40% on the third row means 40% of the people who reached the second stage went on to the third — not 40% of everyone who entered.
  • The first row has no percentage. There is nothing above it to compare with.
  • Bar widths are measured against the biggest stage, not the first one, so a funnel that widens in the middle still reads correctly.
  • A very small stage still gets a visible bar so its number stays readable. Read the number, not the width, when a bar looks short.

Save it for the workspace

Both the field and the stage order are saved with the board, so press Save as default to publish your funnel to everyone. If you are not the workspace owner you will get You don’t have permission to change the shared board. — your funnel stays on your screen, and the owner has to publish it.

The Member leaderboard, and what counts as won

Member leaderboard — Rank owners by won deals — is the other tile driven by your dropdown field, and it is the one place a workspace says which statuses mean won. Add it the same way, from Ready tiles.

Won and Conversion only appear once you have said which statuses count as won.

ColumnWhat it is
#Position in the ranking
OwnerThe member the records are assigned to
LeadsHow many records they own in the current scope
WonHow many of those reached a status you marked as won
ConversionWon as a whole-number percentage of Leads

Its header carries a Status dropdown — again, only when you have more than one dropdown field — and its own Columns dropdown. On the leaderboard, Columns picks which of that field’s options count as won.

Raion Hub pre-ticks options whose names look like a win — anything reading won, closed, customer, paid or deal. If none of your option names look like that, nothing is pre-ticked, and the tile shows an amber line reading Pick which statuses count as won to rank by conversion. with the Won and Conversion columns hidden. Leads still shows real numbers.

The funnel and the leaderboard are configured separately and can point at different fields. Both remember their choices with the board, so both need Save as default.

Who these three tiles are counting

The Conversion funnel, the Member leaderboard and Lead assignment are the only tiles on the board that respond to the member chip in the control row. Stat tiles and tiles you build yourself cannot be narrowed to a person at all. All three also honour the lead source filter and the date range.

One subtlety worth knowing: if a Team is selected in the workspace switcher and you have picked nobody in the member chip, these three tiles are still limited to that team’s members — the chip reads Anyone while the numbers are the team’s. Switch to all teams to count the whole workspace.
